Each piece holds a smooth lavender ceramic insert hidden just below its surface, creating a cavity that invites touch. Paper tendrils emerge from these interior spaces, breaking through to the outside and blurring the line between what's hidden and what's revealed.

Umbilicus 2024 24 inches x 33 inches x 16 inches paper cord, Twinning Umbilicus evokes a nest-like vessel, its tightly woven core exposed to the viewer like a navel— a point of origin and connection. A long, protruding extension suggests an umbilical cord or tether, reinforcing themes of gestation, nourishment, and interconnectedness. The delicate, lace-like weave interacts with light and shadow, while the earthy brown paper cord grounds the piece in nature and embodiment. SOLD

En Gendered Vessel, view a 2022 H- 29 inches x W- 21 inches x D- 7 inches paper cord, house paint, wax, twinning Playing upon the idea of a gendered body, (en) gendered vessel reimagines the vessel as an imaginary organ, womb-like with associations to the female body. Vessels are said to symbolize feminine containment. Choosing to paint the vessel pink heightens associations to being feminine. I think of pink as a nurturing and healing color. procreate, produce, create, invoke, induce, make

Eccentric Meander 2024 96” x 27” x 3” hand spun kozo paper, ink, weaving Eccentric Meander explores the interplay between material, form, and light through the deliberate pace of hand weaving. Building the woven form one yarn at a time reveals weaving as a metaphor for patience, focus, and continual self-discovery. Undulating lines and oval motifs surface as symbolic gateways to deeper perception, inviting viewers into a meditative journey of reflection and connection.
